Demo Update (0.2.3)
Work has been progressing nicely, although most of the work I've been doing lately has been under-the-hood stuff which isn't as exciting as actual new content like levels etc, but it's still stuff that has to be done. There's quite a few things I've changed in this update, mainly the scoring system (which is still WIP, so any feedback is appreciated), a newish map screen (again WIP). Bombs have also been re-enabled so I hope you'll enjoy blowing things up with those, and also the ability to deflect projectiles when you spin your ship has been improved and is a bit more forgiving than it was previously. I've also updated the look of the items/power-ups in the game. They look quite a bit different now and may still be subject to change, but the most important thing was for them to stand out and be easily recognisable, which I think they are now (once you know what they are, at least).
I think that covers the main things, anything else was basically bug fixes and other minor tweaks I've forgotten about... but now that's out of the way, I can get back to working on actual levels, which is much more fun and interesting! :)
Hopefully I'll have something to show in the next update.
If you have the demo from Steam, it should auto-update itself, but if you don't have Steam, feel free to grab the latest version from here:

So glad I subscribed to your updates a while back. I hadn't had a chance to try the game previously and this post reminded me it exists! Looking forward to trying the demo
